Here are some of the publishers and writers I have worked with as an editor and sensitivity reader. Sensitivity reading is a type of editing in which the work is read and assessed with a specific type of representation in mind, which is one that the editor has lived experience in. Since 2021 I have been consulting on several yet to be released titles, to be published by Chronicle Books .
In 2021 I was hired by Chronicle Books for an authenticity read on “Lego Heroes.” Check out Lego Heroes here.
In 2020 I was hired by Harper Collins Publishers as a sensitivity reader for Jonathan Van Ness’ essay collection, “Love That Story: Observations from a Gorgeously Queer Life”.
In 2019 I was hired by Alyssa Cole for a sensitivity read on her book "Can't Escape Love". Check out “Can’t Escape Love” here.
In 2017 I worked with the editing team at First Second Books to transform the McElroy’s fantastic podcast
